Pet Adoption

Adopt a Pet from the Regional Animal Shelter!

Every pet deserves a second chance. At the Regional Animal Shelter, we’re committed to providing a safe, temporary home for animals in need, while working to match them with loving families. Whether you're looking for a dog or cat, adopting from our shelter helps us make a positive impact on our community’s animals and the people who care for them.

Why Adopt from the Regional Animal Shelter?

Adopting from our shelter is a meaningful way to make a difference. Here's why you should consider adopting from us:

  • Save a Life: Adoption is a way to directly impact an animal’s life. Every animal you adopt means one less pet in need and a brighter future for a homeless animal.
  • Thorough Care: We do our best to assess each animal’s health and temperament to ensure they are ready for their new homes. All animals are kept up to date on basic vaccinations, flea and tick preventative, heartworm preventative, and are microchipped before adoption.
  • Help Reduce Overpopulation: By adopting, you help combat pet overpopulation in our community. Your choice to adopt means one less pet on the streets or in the shelter system.
  • Support Your Community: We are funded by the local government and supported by community donations and volunteers. Your adoption fee goes directly toward shelter operations, medical care, and other essential services.
