Eligibility

In order to register to vote in King William County, you must be:

  • A resident of the State of Virginia
  • A citizen of the United States
  • 18 years of age by the next general election
  • If convicted of a felony, your right to vote must have been restored
  • Not currently declared mentally incompetent by a court of law

How to Register

Virginia Residents may register:

  • By mail-in Voter Registration Application (PDF)
  • Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) branch or DMV online
  • In-person at any General Registrar’s office: The office of the King William County General Registrar is open from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays, for this purpose. We are located at:
